Welcome to our website!

I am Judge Kathy Stone and I am running for Harris County Probate Court No. 1.  I have 18 years judicial experience and 29 years legal experience.  I was twice elected as Judge of the 55th Civil District Court, serving from 1991 to 1998.  Since then, I have served as Senior Judge Sitting by Assignment in Civil, Criminal and Family District Courts, County Courts-at-law, and Justice of the Peace Courts in Harris and surrounding counties.  I look forward to continuing my judicial service as Judge of Probate Court 1.

In addition to my judicial experience, I am Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law, and I am a Certified Mediator and Arbitrator.  I am a former President of the Texas Association of District Court Judges.  The Texas State Senate recognized me for exceptional service to Texans, and the Association of Professional Women named me a "Woman of Excellence".
